Technical and Scientific Oversight

To assure the highest quality research, we established our Scientific Oversight Committee in 1986. This committee includes internationally renowned scientists from a variety of disciplines such as physics, psychology, and neuroscience. Their primary responsibilities are to:

  • Review and approve all written protocols for each of the laboratory's experiments. Until we reach closure, no experiment can be conducted.
  • Exercise un-announced drop-in privileges to view experiments in progress.
  • Review our written final reports on each experiment as if they where submissions for publications to technical journals. The committee's written comments are appended to our final report to the sponsor.
  • Meet at the CSL to discuss the details of the completed experiments.
  • Plan for future investigations.
